Default For Better or for Worse

Ok my story was not funny but i thought it was memorable.
Feb 14 2007
I was telling my fiancee at the time that i didn't want to do anything on the day but i secretly have been planning a way to propose to her. So i said i would just make dinner like i normally do but this time i pulled out some major stops. I read up on how to cook certain items so i can be prepared for this. I crafted a menu like you would get at a fancy restaurant with the "itenerary" of what will be prepared. She came thru the door i showed her to the table with the candles and showed her the menu. She was excited. So i started out with a appetizer(shrimp cocktail in a martini glass with homemade cocktail sauce), main(rack of lamb glazed in hoisin/honey sauce) and then dessert(chocolate lava cake). All made from scratch. She really enjoyed it(honestly) and i was praying she wouldn't die from eating it.

So after dessert I gave her a strip of paper with a clue on it. Said to find the next one based on the clue(scavenger hunt). So there she went finding the clue and everytime she found the next clue she found a hershey's kiss with another clue. After four successful finds in the place the last one read "congrats on finding all four, there still is one surprise left in store, if you look in my eyes you will see all i ask is for you to marry me" she didn't finish the statement and started crying and i went down and proposed and she accepted. Our wedding is this August. I've never been a fan of Vday but it will always hold a special place in my heart.

thanks for the comments yeah to think the fiancee thought at first that the idea of a scavenger hunt is gay...she's such a delightful person sometimes..
