Default BestSkinsEver (InvisibleShields as low as $6!) One of RFD's longest running threads!

Jan 2nd, 2007 edit: Wow, it's amazing to see this thread is still alive after all this time. Great to see other RFD'ers have gotten such good use out of them as I have.

January 30th, 2008 edit: Still going after all this time. I'm revamping the thread a bit, I'll put some reviews from the thread in the OP. If anyone has any product shots they'd like to share, PM 'em to me, and I'll add them here.

Someone pointed this to me a couple days ago:

http://www.bestskinsever.com/servlet/StoreFront

Exact same thing as the Invisible Shields that are so popular, but cost $25+... except way cheaper.

$6.99 USD for a 5g iPod skin, $5.99 USD for a Nano skin, $5.99 for a PSP skin, and they even sell full 9x3.75 inch sheets that you can cut yourself for anything they DONT have, for only $6.99

Cheap shipping, too, $2.25 if you're ordering one skin, $1.25 for two skins, and free shipping for three or more!

Here's a review...

NOTE: THESE ARE NOT NORMAL "STICKER" SKINS. THE MATERIAL IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, AND MUCH MORE RESILIENT THAN A NORMAL SKIN

Getting a skin from (eg) Clairvue, iSkin, will not be the same thing.

Reviews!

Might not be a hot deal, cuz it was around for a while, but still a great deal for anyone who was planning to get the IS

Anyways, I bought one 6 months ago from bestskinsever for my 5G and its still going strong. I highly recommend them. Much tougher than the screen protectors that you can get at Walmart.

When you cut it you must use a new blade. Even after cutting a little paper the blade is too dull to cut the stuff. Easy to apply too. Just wet it and stick it. Couldn't be easier.

I applied the one for my new Samsung A900 cell phone and it looks pretty good. I also got one for my Nano... (I got the 1 peice one.. I thought from the description it might only cover the front, but, it looks like there is a rear peice also!). I ordered 2 of the "custom size" sheets just in case, but, I will use those for something else!

I would definitely recommend them to others...

The install process is a bit of a pain, but, it looks like they will stay "applied" over the long term which is good. I am leaving my cell phone off for the rest of the day just to make sure any water that might have seeped in gets a chance to dry (actually, I will probably be paranoid and leaving it off without any battery until tomorrow morning.. haha)

don't think this is anything new .. BSE have been around for a while and a lot of people on these forums have them .. especially for their 5th gen iPods .. and V3

You can get the same thing at any camera store. I bought three sheets that you can cut to size and use that for my ipod. They are called lcd screen protectors. Can't remember the exact size of the sheets but it was around 9 bucks.

I get mine for my Axim on eBay. Nothing new here, not a hot deal.

You neglect to mention that InvisibleShield has lifetime warranty, which I have used 3 times.

No, these are different. Waaaay more tough than the ones you get at the store, they're made of an entirely different material.

Same. I was thinking "Invisible shields for $7? Sweet!". Too bad it's just a screen protector.

correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like InvisibleSheild is a SCREEN PROTECTOR and these other ones are cut for the whole body?

EDIT: nevermind, stupid me not looking far enough. I want to get on for the RAZR... are they easy to take OFF? I know with many screen protectors I had issues with "bubbles" underneath from trapped air.,.. can't be perfect. What's it like with these, either over the screen or over the body?
