I think you guys are waiting too long. HD was clearing out their last year's models from like a month+ ago. When it gets warmer all the new/current models will be in and at full price for the season, with only minor sales.
Last month, I got a natural gas model Fiesta Blue Ember FG50069 (3 burner + rotisserie + side; w/grill light, ice bucket and bottle opener), last years model without the iQue (though I'm not sure if the NG model gets the iQue anyway) in the HD clearance for $399, reg $799. Yeah I know it's not a Weber, but there were all kinds of other BBQs on clearance then too; I think that was the best time to buy a BBQ from now until fall. I mean there might be deals in between to be had but it seems prior-to and after the season is the best time to buy. As evidenced by the post by shawno20 even the "deal" on this thread was better a month or two a go. Last edited by ES_Revenge; Apr 1st, 2009 at 02:32 PM.. |

Unfortunately for BBQs you typically have to spend a lot to get one that's made domestic these days. Even Vermont Castings "went China" a couple years ago (and now they've still gone bankrupt, lol). Other makers are following suit if they haven't already, particularly with lower end models. |
