The rebate is from OnRebate.com, so you should be ok. I received the rebates for the $99.00 cpu/mobo/ram deal after just two weeks from OnRebate. The rebate process is very fast if you use the paypal deposit option.

This is just $17 more than the $70 recent deal with biostar Mobo with 1 more rebate. I'd pay an extra $17 for an ASUS board. Add another $40 for 512 total $127 which is only $27 more than the $100 Intel combo with no AGP and three rebates.
Another else agree this is the best deal factoring in rebates (GST+PST is pre-rebate) and brand name.

Can't keep track of all the different mobos! I got in on the $70 MSI mobo combo last Sept when there was free shipping... but I have 4xAGP and no SATA.
I don't think any of the other cheap mobos have had the combination of integrated graphics, open AGP at 8X (not 4X), and SATA. Definitely the best featured combo, if not the ultimate penny-saver. ...I see there's a Machspede combo with those features currently $118 after MIR - don't remember if it was ever in the sub-$100 range.

I got the MSI & Celeron Combo back in December.
My onrebate came in about 3 weeks in paypal. Dunno why all you folks having trouble with TD rebates. I got all of em so far. Maybe print nicer or read the instructions next time. |

TD forces you to buya HSF if you want warranty on the CPU. When I bought my Mach Speed combo I found a great HSF which then disappeared from their site. Luckily it's back!
http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...685519&CatId=0 The fan is loud, so should be replaced, or eliminated with a duct, but the all-copper heat-sink is great. I polished the bottom to make it smoother and my Celeron 2.93 @ 3 or 3.1 GHz runs cool with nothing but a duct leading to my power supply fan. |
