I remember last year, there was a AM talk radio station called Mojo radio for vancouver, i was "talk radio for guys", with shows like Phil Hendrie and Tom Leykis.

I was looking for it today, it seems like it turned into a sports radio station. A search on google only found mojoradio.ca, which says its a sports radio station.

Did they move or anything, or are they just gone?

Thanks

Try listening to mojo radio at 1am or so, they have a show called "coast to coast am" which is very interesting.

Mojo is now dead. It's now the newmojo Toronto640. Basically it's back to Talk640. The station went downhill since they lost Humble and Fred. Oakley has been a good replacement but soon after they got rid of Scruff which really made my afternoons eventful. Stafford was the only one left on Mojo that I enjoyed listening to but with the new format, the non "talk radio for guys" format just isn't the same. Krystal is on CFRB once in a while.

Mojo is dead. Scott Armstrong sucks. He puts on crap programs and here's proof of it. Mojo only lasted for 3 years.

Ah, Coast to Coast AM. I fall asleep to that sometimes, but not because it's boring. Some of the stuff they talk about it pretty interesting, but some of it is the stupidest stuff I've ever heard. On some nights Mojo plays some guy called "The Spaceman" he has a local Toronto show that's about conspiracy theories and he soooooo crazy.

Mojo moved from Idaho to Huntsville, Alabama 6 months ago. He now does Mojo in the Morning on 104.3 WZYP. Good show imo, but not quite like Chris and Deedee, which WZYP lost to Star 99.1 WAHR. Now they were a quality team and I still don't understand whay ZYP dropped them 3 years ago for the syndicated Ace and TJ show. I mean, if you're gonna go syndicated, go Rick and Bubba(though Rocket 95.1 had them), or the Steve and DC show. Oye.......

Doesn't MoJo Radio in Toronto still have the rights to air the Leafs games?

AFAIK they do still have the rights, but I think they are a bit worried since it looks like we may have no or a delayed season.

I'm glad to hear mojo in vancouver changed formats, it was juvenile and ******** before.. Mojo girls! wow! Tom leykis is occasionally entertaining but I think I would go insane if I listened to him too much.. I'll have to check out the new sports talk though!

There's only 1 guy I listen to for sports talk radio, and that is Paul Finebaum, The South's leading authority on all things sports. www.finebaum.com to listen to a streaming livecast of his show; from 4-8 PM Eastern time Mondays-Fridays. You Canadian guys will like his style, I promise!

I can't believe that show is so popular. It's full of nonsense, and IMHO, not interesting at all. I guess it suits people who have nothing better to do than idly speculate about "the supernatural".

I've listened a little bit and damn it's annoying. Either the host is busy trying to sell stuff ("Gold's the next big thing! it will hit $2000/ounce") or various guests spouting "facts" without any proof.

when i searched on google, i found the mojoradio Toronto website to still be up, and still say its for men, so i assumed mojo radio for toronto was still alive.

However, i couldnt find info for Mojo Vancouver, which is why im referring to mojo radio in VANCOUVER, not toronto.

Hi,

Ever since of its inception, Mojo had been at the bottom of the ratings. Earlier this year, they switched to all sports format, hoping to move up in the ratings.

I am not sure whether the station has moved up, but I am sure it is still low in the ratings.

Depends on the city I guess because Mojo here i Toronto was a huge hit in the ratings when it first debut here. Until stupid Scott Armstrong started fiddling with the programs it just started going downhill and now it's back to lame normal talk radio.

Wow, I didn't even know they did a format change.

I heard that they got rid of Krystal, which sucks.
(I loved it when he brought that guy on who complained about divorce laws... :) )

I still listen sometimes, for LAW and this other show called "Cloak and Dagger", which I guess they tossed out.
(It was another conspiracy type show).

But without Leaf games, they're dead...

The best part about mojo aside from Leykis was the mojo girls, and only because I worked in the suites at Vancouver Giants' games, and the mojo girls were frequently up there to promote the station.

Not a bad station to listen to, but not one I'd listen to outside of work...
