With the new NFL season right around the corner, I though what better way to start it off than with a RFD's very own Yahoo Football Pool.

If you want to join, head over to http://fantasysports.yahoo.com/ and join the league.

For now the maximum number of players is 12 but I will move that up to 16 if there is enough interest. Please go through the rules and the point scoring system and let me know if you want anything changed.

The draft is set for Thursday August 26 6:00pm EST.

let's just say that a certain satellite option was removed back in april, and hasn't returned. the loss of this option was the cause of much grief and sadness. . .

I think we tried something like this last year, but not many people were interested (I'd join, but I've already used up my 4max leagues per email account). I might create another yahoo acct to sign up though.

Problem is, not many people here care about football (shame though, cause it's the biggest (and IMO best) sport in the world).

Hey I'm in as Tacticle Swine and I also have told four buddies that this league needs some teams. I know one has signed up already and hopefully there will still be room for the other 3.

Cause I know he will play each week. Unlike the RFD Fantasy baseball league where like 5 teams are no longer competing. Example is Trash talkers. Signed up for both baseball and football but his last day of any league involvemnet is Friday March 12. You really think that he will be any different??? This is what kills leagues and makes them no fun.

Just trying to get the most enjoyment out of this league for everyone including myself.

Just wanted to give a big thanks to all the people that participated in the pool this year. Angry Beavers, led by Peyton Manning dominated the regular season with a record of 11-3 but Ironmen managed to catch Manning on an off week and narrowly steal the Championship.

i finished first and second in my yahoo leagues and lost both of the leagues in the championship game.
