So RFD is using subliminal advertising. AFAIK this is not allowed in Canada. Or at least you should let people know.

uh, what?

Sometimes, when I close a RFD window/tab an ad appears for a very short time. It's not a pop-up, it's some other technology. Maybe I can get a screenshot someday but I just don't have the time to deal with that.

What you're seeing is not normal behavior on this website. Scan your PC for spyware and adware... Try Malwarebyte Anti-Malware (http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html) or Microsoft Security Essentials (http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/), both of which are free.

Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission banned the use of hidden messages in the 70's. I don't know if the ban if still in place though.

As you wish. I have anti-malware installed already.

You might of picked up an MTD (malware-transmitted-disease) off one those XXX sites.

I've never seen anything closing RFD tabs on chrome, firefox, IE, or safari.
Anyone else?

Nope, none here. Never heard of anything like this from my friends who browse the site.

Doesn't do that to me on Firefox or IE.

I wonder if you do have malware, and as soon as it pops up, your AM kills it?

I'm not sure that would be considered "subliminal" anyway... but it seems that is beside the point now.

Heh, he's actually serious. I thought he was joking. Wearing overly tight undies, could be the cause.

We do not run any sort of popup/popunder ads, so what you are seeing is completely unrelated to our website and as others have pointed out, sounds like you have some malware on your computer.

that's exactly what someone who runs secret subliminal advertising would say....

why does this sound so dirty?

You should be banned for closing an RFD tab. A true RFDer would keep them open in omne tempus :cheesygri

Does anyone else have the urge for a cool cold refreshing glass of Coca-Cola, with a big box of popcorn and maybe some dancing hotdogs??

Hey did RFD just flash an old drive-in add at me or was that just simply a flashback???

Well, it's a possibility but not really what he is describing.

Not to mention it's hardly subliminal!
