Virgin is launching their HPSA offering in February. iPhones will be part of the launch. Same prices as everybody else and probably the same plans too.

Solo (another Bell sub-brand) should be selling HSPA SIMs any day now (if not already) so you can bring your unlocked phones there if you're interested in their plans, but they're not selling HSPA handsets yet. For the time being Bell is going to continue using the Solo brand to sell CDMA handsets.

Koodo is supposed to launch on the new HSPA network on Nov 21st. Not sure if they will have iPhones.

So there's some new (fake) choices for everyone with 3G HSPA handsets.

No SAF makes it a some-what decent deal...granted, Fido has the iPhone with no SAF too.

Remember how that dork who owns Virgin (how the hell is he a Sir?) made a big show in Canada about how current wireless providers are ripoff, with hidden fees and 3 year contracts. What did Virgin add afterwards? Lol...3 year contract for their crappy phones and plans.

To be fair, he wasn't that one that did it. He basically "sold out" and sold the rest of Virgin to Bell, who now owns 100% of Virgin. So expect more of the same.

Be glad they didn't go up like in Australia :( (went from 4 to 5 providers in July, and the prices have generally gotten more expensive).

Since the hardware prices are fixed by Apple and the carriers want to cash in on the iPhone hype, don't ever expect prices to go down.
