View Full Version : RFD Moblie = WHACK! [Click on a thread, exits mobile and goes to the RFD full site]

anyone experience this today.. navigating through the mobile site is fine, but when i want to click on the thread it launches the full site with the corresponding thread :S

Yea, when you click on a thread you get redirected to the full site.

I JUST switched from a Blackberry9000 to a Blackberry9700, and am experiencing this problem. (SOO ANNOYING!! :mad:) I thought maybe the PHP devs may not be recognizing the 9700's UserAgent string.

But I think I first noticed this problem on Thursday (Nov 5th) when I first got my 9700.

This should be fixed now. There seems to be some configuration setting that is self-resetting and I don't know why. Hope it doesn't happen again! :)

Full site issue seems to be fixed.

Should we be seeing ads on the mobile site if we are logged in? Previously I hadn't, but around the time all these other things started going wrong I started getting ads taking up a portion of the screen real-estate.

Its happening again. I'm on my BB9700 right now, and its redirecting me to the full site.

I'm replying from the full editor. I find it impressive that it still works on this BB browser.

But yes keeps redirecting to full site :(

also I wish the mods could impliment a 'tab' for LATEST deals' (just like on the rfd homepage)

ALSO - it seems as if rfd mobile logs me out of it pretty often (every few days) any way to stay logged in?

We figured out what's causing it, so hopefully it shouldn't be an issue in the future.

Thats good to hear, thanks. It was very annoying getting kicked out to the main site on my Blackberry, the mobile site is a god send. :)

I've also noticed some links aren't selectable on the mobile site, about 1 in 3 for me on my blackberry.

There are quite a few in the Black Friday forum every one BUT the "newegg.ca Black Friday in Canada deals" thread.
It doesn't matter whether I have javascript turned on or off in my browser, makes no difference.
Using a 7pt font if that is important.

Can you please reference a specific thread and a specific post where you see a link that is not clickable.

Does it show up as a "link" (underlined)?

No, it's usually the same, right now the only 2 links I can click on are:

and

nothing else is clickable.
Yes, they appear to be a regular link, underlined & everything.
