I just called Telus Loyalty and was offered a bunch of crap.
My contract expires in May. I currently have:
350 anytime
6pm nights/weekends
My Fave 8
Caller ID
VM 3
Unlimited Incoming Text
$40 + SAF + 911 + taxes
It turns out to be around $55-$60/month.
I asked about the iphone, the rep was willing to give me Caller ID/VM for one year (blah) with one of their already put together plans.
I mentioned about a deal my parents got - they said it had expired, but what they have is this:
200 anytime, per-second
Caller ID
Voicemail
Unlimited text
Unlimited 6pm nights/weekends
Telus to Telus
$20 + SAF + 911 + taxes
I asked for something comparable, and she told me I could get:
200 minutes (NOT per second)
Unlimited 9pm nights/weekends
Caller ID - one year free
Voicemail - one year free
Text - one year free
$40 + taxes
WTF!!! Thanks for valuing "loyal" customers, Telus.
What would be a reasonable deal for the iphone? Or if I choose not to go with a data plan, what would be reasonable for a regular phone plan?
My ideal plan is this:
200 minutes (I rarely go over 100 minutes)
6pm nights/weekends
My Faves
Text messaging (250 sent / unlimited received)
Caller ID
Voicemail
500 MB data *** (I can really take it or leave it, I'll only go with iphone if I get a good offer)
What should I expect to pay for this?? Customer of 3 years.
