I have been fighting with my DFI Infinity P965-S for way to long so I have decided to replace the board. I am getting random reboots and can't live with it now..

I am looking for a Socket 775 board to run my Q6600 g0 (watercooled), preferrably something that overclocks well and has proven to be a solid board. I haven't been current on the latest gear so I am asking you guys for help. DDR 2 preferred but not necessary.

Thanks for any ideas, I have no brand loyalty but i prefer to keep it under $150.

I would first check the BST section for something used. At this point there isn't much point putting money into a dead platform.

My suggestions ..

Gigabyte GAEP45UD3P
Asus P5Q DELUXE

Both are DDR2 based, DDR3 for s775 is just a waste. Both are pretty much mid range boards and should allow you to oc well.

May be of interest,
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R (http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/motherboards/2008/11/21/gigabyte-ga-ep45-ud3r/1)

Listed for $123.99 @ NCIX and if you actually trust it, there is a $15.00 MIR as well.

P5Q Deluxe is an awesome board. Quite possibly one of, if not THE, best in it's class. Absolutely worth a look.
