Don't know if this is posted by others yet. I know there is a post about 265WT being $218 at Wal-mart.

I'm just back from Costco Calgary South location. There I saw Garmin 265WT GPS is having a $10 off. Therefore the price is $227.99-$10 = $217.99. The package also includes a free carrying case for the GPS. Don't know if the sale is on in other locations.

Considering Costco's return policy, I would say this is a better deal than Wal-mart's.

Edit: Just checked Costco.ca, there is the same sale (http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=10324991&whse=BCCA&Ne=4000000&eCat=BCCA|79|21133&N=4009765&Mo=18&No=12&Nr=P_CatalogName:BCCA&cat=21133&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-CA&Sp=C&topnav=). The shipping fee is extra for this item. So in-store pickup would save the extra $8.00 for the shipping.

Garmin 265W is typically cheaper than 265WT, so make sure you are talking about the same model when quoting a price.

Have to decide whether the lifetime traffic feature is worth anything to you, it's the only difference.

I have the 265wt.
The traffic is very limited in Toronto.
Highways and a few major streets.

It is really worth it to me, I use it every day to work.
But when I was in Vancouver last xmas, there was no traffic data, so you would be gambling that traffic data will arrive.... which in theory it should very soon.

The 755T is on sales until sunday for $229. I brough the 265WT just over 3 months. What is the return policy from Costco? I can either get the $10 refund or return the 265WT and get teh 755T.

Actually, I think there's one more difference. 265wt has Bluetooth, 265w doesn't.

They both have BT, lifetime traffic is the only diff.

You're right. I was thinking about the 255W which doesn't have BT.

Don't let the bluetooth factor in to your decision. I have this unit and the bluetooth functionality is a nightmare. It constantly disconnects and reconnects, and sometimes it doesn't connect at all.

Kind of upsetting really, as this was one of the reasons I purchased the unit.....maybe it will be fixed in a future firmware update.

Has anyone had a better experience with the bluetooth in this unit?

if you don't need traffic and bluetooth, might as well go with the 255w, it's $50 cheaper.

I think the lure of BT, for some, may be the changing laws for cell phone use, and the required hands-free.

I have BT on an older Mio C710, and find it just ok....mics and speakers used in these GPS units is typically lackluster, more show than go.

People are probably way better off with a BT ear-piece or stand alone speakerphone unit for the same $50 or less.
