I bought this chair a few years ago:

http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/30059715

It's been serving me really well, but the armrests (which hold the back in place) broke today. I'd hate to have to buy a new chair since the armrests are the only thing that is broken, everything else is perfect.

Does anyone have any ideas on where and if I could buy these anywhere? I tried looking on ebay with no luck.

Thanks.

Have you called IKEA?

The armrest on a chair I bought at Staples broke a while ago so I called the 1-800 number on the instruction sheet. Someone at Global (http://www.globaltotaloffice.com/global_upholstery/) (the actual manufacturer) answered. They requested that I send him a copy of the invoice. I did that and a few days later got a replacement armrest at no charge.

I bought the chair something like 3 years ago. There's no way I still have the invoice.

You don't necessarily need the invoice. Call IKEA, give them the item's name, tell'em what's broken and see what they can do for you.
