For the cross border shoppers walmart.com will be having a sale November 7 apparently with some pretty good deals

46-inch Panasonic TC-P46U1 1080p plasma HDTV for $788

42-inch Sharp LC-42SB45U 1080p LCD for just $498.

Besides that, Wal-Mart plans to sell a 15.6-inch HP notebook for $298, a Sony Blu-ray player for $148, and a Magnavox upconverting DVD player for $29.

Xbox 360 Arcade for its standard price of $199, but include a $100 Wal-Mart gift card with that purchase

I got the news from here..

Exactly, this place is getting *extremely* screwed up, as if I was to post each and every in-store deal in the entire US of A, I'd need to quit my job and RFD would need a brand new server farm.

This is Canada folks, the odd US mail-order deal is fine, but let's not try to cover the entire freaking CONTINENT here.

well went to plattsburgh to try and get a 298$laptop. Arrived there at 7.45, the 10 were already attributed to other people :( TV's were also sold out, a few 360remaining but sold by 8.00.

Bought a other Laptop for 358$+tax+exchange rate+tax coming back to canada(I'm honest) Total 451$cdn all in (filled the fuel tank as well + bubble gum:) )

Laptop is quite okay for this price : Acer 15.6'' dual core AMD 64 X2 L310 (1.2ghz but there are rated about the same as the 298$ celeron 2.2ghz) 4 gigs of ram , 250 gig hdd win 7 Ati HD3200 (256mb dedicated ) LED screen, thin, 5lbs. Sale end today.

Laptop will be used for word processing and websurfing and easy to carry, did not need anything powerful was looking only for a good price. Did not find anything close in price in canada at least 100$-150$ more.

ATI video is quite nice, it runs counterstrike better than my old desktop and decode HD content .Lolll. So I guess I will be able to do some light gaming as well

Peace out everyone. We're coming up to Black Friday in the States which is right up there with Boxing Day (sometimes better). The discussions pickup for a week or two this time of year then die down for that reason. And let's not forget that tons of people live near the border, or are willing to drive a few hours to get to these sales.
