Something like this:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/5-8-MOTOR-ARBOR-SHAFT-ADAPTER-FOR-GRINDER-POLISHER_W0QQitemZ250493995313QQcmdZViewItemQQptZL H_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3a529b0931
Basically, I need to add a hub to the shaft of a small DC motor.
Thanks

I believe I've either seen those at Home Depot, Rona etc. or Canadian Tire, can't remember, but worth giving a try.

Princess Auto might have something like that

I thought about princess auto, but they told me over the phone that I'd have to weld something to the shaft..
No luck at CT and the Reno / Rona either, but I'll try them again.

Alright, I went to all the big box stores and no one even knew what I was talking about.
I started asking for less : "just a couple left hand nuts " for the motor shaft , but I couldnt find that anywhere either : Canadian Tire, Rona, Reno, Princess auto, etc..
Turns out there is a company that specialises in everythings bolts, nuts and fasteners and they have many shops all over Canada:
Fastenal. (http://www.fastenal.com/)
I'll be getting my left handed nuts (http://www.fastenal.com/web/products/detail.ex?sku=0175062&ucst=t) there.
Just learned something new today, thought I'd post it here :)

Seems like McMaster-Carr carries the arbor shaft adapter!

Arbor Attachment for Electric Motors
Convert your bench-mount motor into a grinder-buffer. Fit this attachment onto the motor shaft and then mount wire wheel brushes, grinding wheels, and more. Shaft thread is right hand. Flanges and hex nut are included.
edit: dammit, only right-hand shaft thread.

Lee Valley has something similar.
Check them and see if they have what you require.

You're right!
Too bad it's for right-handed thread and mine is left-handed.
I,ll just go with a left handed nut and a few washers..
Thanks guys!
