Regarding those people who got the free Beta License from Microsoft (wow...over a year ago now it seems?) for W7. How many computers can you use to install this on?
I actually have 3 currently..wait 4 actually wow. So uhm...how many in total can I do it on? Hmmm...actually I think I have 2 or 3 beta licenses I got for our various computers so that's why I have W7 on all those computers. But just in case I've lost track of which license is on which and end up using the same on a 2nd or 3rd computer...how many is it actually maxed to?

I don't think there is a limit at all, everyone had the same small number of keys.
I don't remember if it was the beta or RC though, it was probably one or the other.

was it a different serial when the RC or RTM came out? I can't remember..and I can't even find the various ISOs that I had downloaded to figure out which serial went with which LOL. I just have one dvd now and that's the one I've used for the last two laptops and this new desktop (which ain't activated yet lol)...so I'm slightly concerned.

This was the case for the RC, as they cycled a few keys for everyone after they ran out of the initial 2.5 million. I'm not sure how it was for previous betas however.
As I don't think there is any harm in posting this, here is a list of RC Keys. I'm assuming that if it is a beta version, then it's the RC as the other public ones would be expired by now.

With the betas and RC, there will be a small message on the bottom right of the desktop stating what version it is.
The RTM is a unique, one-per-computer serial, since it is the released version. I never used the RTM, but I don't think it has the message that the betas did.

I don't think there is a limit for the RC, but they expire next March 2010, if Im not mistaken. Would just buy a copy of the final version/family pack.

I might have mistaken the date, it might be the date you suggested, but I believe the one hour shutdowns begin at that date.

Near the bottom of this page (https://partner.microsoft.com/US/40084742):
To avoid interruption, you and your customers should rebuild test machines by using a valid Windows operating system before Windows 7 (RC) expires. Windows will automatically notify you that the expiration process is about to begin. Two weeks later, your PC will shut down every two hours. The bihourly shutdowns will begin March 1, 2010. The software will expire June 1, 2010.
