There are going to be 5 prestige edition MW2 and 3 250GB PS3s given away at the launch event for MW 2 in EB Games Toronto. I believe its branch specific:

Toronto - 425 Queen Street West store
Event: Monday November 9th

Yeah I think the big stores get a 150 or at least the ones with the big part. At my local store I get crap all :(

Can anyone confirm that you have to actually buy the game in order to enter the contest to win the PS3? That's all I'm interested in. Hah, I don't even own a PS3 yet (or 360), but would consider buying a copy of the game just to be entered in the contest (if I don't win, I can always return it?).

And if I am going to get the game, anyone have any coupons or offers to recommend? I.e. pre-order to get $10 off?

^ Hah, don't I know it.

I do plan on getting a PS3, I'm just waiting on my (100% RFD cheap) Sony credit card to arrive so that I can get the $100 off. But I figure if I can win one with this, I can use the $100 off to get some games.

Either way I'll likely be getting MW2, but just in case something falls apart, I won't open the game until I get the console, so that I can return it.

So has anyone been to one of these contests before? I assume they give a ballot per purchasing person?

Is Monster cheaper than RedBull? I think I've seen the cans Monster comes in; they're like big beer cans.

Just asked at the Queen/Spadina location yesterday - the guy said there will be a Sony truck there and THEY will be giving out copies of the game. Sounds like you don't have to buy a copy to enter.
