Mr. Mikes in the lounge after 9pm on Thursdays has half price lounge menu. Includes Basic Mikeburger for $5 with fries, wings for $4.50, calamari for $4.50, steak sandwich for $6, etc. They also have a 22oz beer and a burger for $10 during all Canucks games.

Have you ever eaten there? The food is pretty bad... over garnishing the dishes, excessive sprinkling herbs all over the plate. They have been struggling to keep the restaurant open for the past few years. Used the classic and iconic name but not the same food from the 80's. I hope for everybody's sake that they cleaned up their act and improved their service delivery and food quality.

Went there once a few years ago, had to wait over an hour for the bill after we finished. Not going back.

Went last night, was good. Not the best food, but for the price was worth it. Service was good, and the lounge, although small, had comfy seats and the fire place was on, so the atmosphere was decent. Would not pay full price for their burgers, but for that price, I am in! :razz:

Xcite on Hastings is a really great spot in Burnaby with dinner specials in the $5 range and lunch for $4, but it's a drive and doesn't work for me if I am wanting a pint because I would have to drive.

Completely Agree! Will grab the menu in the next few days and start the official Xcite thread! Don't want to oversell it, will never get through the door if it gets too popular! Can't even finish a lunch meal there, portions are huge.:cheesygri

Went there last night. Ordered some wings, but a few of them were undercooked, fries were cold, and calamaries were overcooked and tough.

I went to this place when they first opened. I thought their food were great. For 50%, it's a superb deal. $6-7 bucks is plain cheap.

El Furniture Warehouse on Granville and Nelson, their entire menu is $4.95.

Thats everything from Burgers to Pastas to Quesadillas to their delicious Yam Fries.

Food is pretty damn good too.

No catches either, no need to purchase a beverage or whatever.
