I don't know if any other people feel the same way, but do you ever talk to people online, but then in real life, they don't talk to you? Is this my problem? Why does this happen? Discuss.

We're plenty familiar with the idea that there's a disharmony between how a person is online (e.g.: troll) and how they are in person (e.g.: "shy"). It's a given.

Now, if you've talked to a person online and they don't want to talk to you in person, there is either a. a common cause, or b. a distinct possibility that there is something about you that he or she does not like.

I talk the same way online and in real life. What you see in my post is how I talk in real life.

This means I never say "lol" or any variant of "lol" in online chat.
