In St. Catharines, ON I just picked up an awesome deal! Costco is clearing out their Xbox 360 60GB Pro package that comes with an extra controller and plug and play charge kit (Approx $90 value) for $199.98 (Reg. 294.99). Best deal I've seen so far! It was while quantities last. I'm sure other Costcos will follow suit to clear this out to allow the sale of their new Holiday Elite Bundle. So if it's not on sale at your local Costco, I'm sure it will be soon!

Pretty sure getting a decent determination of that requires opening the unit, nowadays, voiding the warranty, since they're generally all liteons at different firmware revision levels (I could be wrong, though). And someone planning to mod one of these may as well pick up an arcade--although that being said, someone planning to mod one of these should wait because they're probably going to be screwed for a while.

Definitely a great deal - I was actually on my way to buy the Future Shop one and figured I'd go double check Costco's prices. They had just marked it down when I got there! So it was great timing!

How long can that last though? I'm glad I didn't bother buying a 2nd controller at full price. Instead I piced up an Arcade and got a 2nd controller that way, plus a 2nd console to use as a media extender and a backup console and p/s (thanks to all the talk of early failure, though I personally see no evidence of my 360 failing).

get a friend / relative to get you a gift card, you can go in with your gift card. you just have to pay debit / cash for your purchase though. oh and they take american express.

I dont believe that they will price match it because a) It's a package deal, and not the exact same and b) Costco is members-only

The way Costco works on people...you may end up being a more "regular customer" they generally have lots of good deals, although you do have to know your prices.

Like I said guys... I did in fact buy this at 199.98 as previously stated at the St. Catharines Costco...I had just shown up at costco to check their price...and they had "red markered" the sign, reducing the Pro bundle from $294 to 199.98...and they even mentioned it to me (the merch ppl) that the asterik on the sign indicated which quantities last. When I bought it, the price in the system was still the original price, and I had to go over the merch and get them to reduce the price...they went and grabbed the sign and reduced the price. There was another guy who was next to me that I even convinced to buy it, as it was by far the best deal I've seen.

I went back the next day to buy another item that was on sale.....went to the electronics section again.....and the sign was back to reg. price...no red markered reduced price.

So unfortunately I believe either someone screwed up and reduced the wrong item, or they did it too early........but obviously somethiing happened that the price has gone back to reg. price. I'm not sure if it'll ever go back to that -- or what the situation is.

Sorry the the obvious inconvenience, but I did post on here when I got home from Costco and realized that the price was back to normal. It was by far the best deal I had found, but obvioiusly short lived.
