Whenever my laptop gets used intensively, artifacts start appearing around the title bar. I doubt it has anything to do with heat since it only happens in Windows 7 and the artifacts only appear near the title bar.

Somehow I think it's a RAM issue, of which the laptop as has 3 GB.

Any ideas?

Edit: If I change the theme to something else and then change it back, it looks perfectly fine again.

Looks like your video is overheating. Do you happen to be running a geforce 8-series chip in your laptop?

1st 7100 is rc and and old release, upgrade it, 2nd this issue could be a heat issue, as it only happens in windows 7 its possible because wdm is more stresfull on graphics cards and stresses yours, could be ither the graphics card core, or memory chips getting hot, also could be a driver issue releated to the first part as this is only rc version
