ok, i gotta ask, i'm looking for something i can wear in the winter for some mild to medium snow exposure. not deep snow.

..also, kinda casual, able to wear to work and comfortable. looks good with jeans as well

what would be a good choice

You can get stan smiths here... you can take a look at superstars as well. If you get them on those footlocker/champs friends and family sales you can get them for fairly cheap. Saves you on shipping and saves you on potential customs etc.

Usually on the week of these events, you will see people handing out coupons for it around the mall. With the coupon, you can get 30% off regular priced stuff and an additional 10% off if you spend $150+ before tax. I think the last event passed like a couple of weeks back. There will prob be another one before christmas.

Why buy shoes online? You don't know how they will fit.

Mountain equipment Co-op has some goretex waterproof running shoe/hiking boot type shoes.
I bought the Zamberlan? ones 2 years ago and they are good.

Merell has some nice winter shoes and boots at Shoe campany.

or for different I have seen Puma gtx goretex boots.
Zappos used to have them and i wish I had bought them as I need new puma shoes and used to wear them in winter more.

One sneaky way around this is to try them in a store and buy the same model online.
