Hi all,

This week Wal-Mart started carrying Haiers 32" 720p LCD TV.
Priced at $399, the picture quality and overall design is more than
I would expect from a Budget LCD TV. Compared to RCA's and other uglier sets in that price range I'm very enticed to pick one up for the hell of it.

Does anybody have any experiences with the Haier brand?
What you recommend LCD for a fellow RFD'er on a budget?:)

I studied abroad in Asia for a while, and didn't like Haier products (they're all over the place there).

That said, most LCD panels come from one of the major manufacturers. Haier does not manufacture its own panels. The $299 Dynex is a far better deal IMO. If you're looking for a 32" 720p TV, the differences are really minor.

Don't expect it to look like a Pioneer Kuro, but it won't look like a ghetto TN panel computer monitor either.

They are well known for their refridgerators.
