48hr live codes, useless?

i tried to play gears of war 2, multiplayer with my 48 hrs xbox live code i got with the game and i got a msg sayin my profile isn't gold .. whats the point of the 48 hrs live code if its as good as silver, which is the basic profile every1 gets for free.. for dling demos and stuff.. has any1 else noticed this?

48 hour codes are suppose to work as a gold. did you add it like you would add a 12 months card?

hey m8 gears of war 2 is suppose to be able to play free for everyone online silver and gold members. I played it online a few months ago while on silver. Im hopping it wasent a one time thing.

MS has these things where they let some games play online for everyone.

well i can play cod 4 with these codes but gears of war giving me probs the gay profile thing pops up. i entered the codes online from xbox website .. by using the prepaid options in the marketplace section.

This happened to me as well with my 48hr trial from GOW2 and trying to play multiplayer on GOW2, I just ended up signing up for Live.
