Petition to ban Emancipated For Piracy talk and hinting.

He gave me permission if a mod does not like the location of the thread please move it into an appropriate place like contests or announcements.


I am thinking we all play a game. We email the game companies every post that Emancipated makes reference to stealing piracy the works. Clearly plays a modded 360 and he makes this very public.

So lets just list here some of his posts.

This just stuff I saw in November the last 5 days.

Been playing it since Nov. 1st.

The earlier the game gets released, the faster the groups get their hands on it.

It's a win/win.


Finished the game last night.

It's pretty good story wise but I'm still hung up on the gameplay mechanics. It's just not very good. They basically took MW1 and added some blood splatter and called it a day.

I hope between now and MW3 they improve the graphics and gameplay a little but I probably have a better chance of winning the lotto than that happening. It plays like Medal of Honour: Allied Assault which was the pioneer of world war shooters but damn, that's a decade old!

And Erik Henricksen has one of the most prolific voices in acting today.

Pretty much around 4-5 hours. I think they beefed up the AI teammates a little because they're more efficient this time around. Definitely shorter than MW1. There isn't one level that made you wish you could skip because like I said, the story was very gripping so you do feel like you're playing a movie like some reviewers have said already.

Is anyone feeling a little burned out by all these games? There was a time when I couldn't wait for new games to come out so I could pull all nighters but recently I can't seem to hold any interest in the games. Just last week I couldn't put down the controller playing Gay Tony but now I haven't even touched the system since 3 days ago and I have great games like MW2, Gay Tony, Forza 3, etc.

Burnt out.

I read that they said something to that effect about FM3 but when people were banned, they said Turn10 would sort it out because initially it was anyone caught playing it before the street date.

YOu need to consult the proper forums but basically it needs a Wave4 boot disc.

I see people releasing MW2 as a Wave3 compatible game. How that translate to detection or future releases I don't know but as long as you can get the game going it's still hope.

I put in MW2 thinking I was ok with my backup HDD then realized this HDD had auto sign-in for LIVE and the ethernet was still attached. Now the dummy account has the MW2 logo in games recently played. I might be screwed but oh well. I'll let you know if anything goes awry.

I was really disappointed they took prone out in BC but it's still a fun game nevertheless. It's not really that realistic or even fun to camp in this game because of the massive maps and the GPS that tells your enemy where you are when you shoot them so camp sniping would have been moot.

Oh well.

What about threads on people asking where to get their xbox360 modded? I don't think it can get any more public than that. I'm not supporting piracy or the member but technically, according to RFD rules, he is in the grey area. Although there is inference, he is not in actively discussing where to obtain the material, nor is he providing links.

BTW, there are tons of RFD members who infer to it in threads about the WD player, ASUS O!play, hard drives, and in the C&E subforum in discussions about utorrent, copy software, conversion software, jailbreaking iPhones, etc, etc, so I'm not sure how much of a case you have.

I'm sure your post will have him caution so in the future.

There is absolutely nothing wrong about jailbreaking your phone, converting your videos, or streaming those converted videos. There's also nothing wrong with using uTorrent as it does have legal uses (Blizzard for example uses it to distribute patches). Even DS Flash Cards, PSP Softmods, and Wii Softmods have their legal uses.

However, I've never known the 360 to be much of a homebrew machine. And he is clearly talking about pirated games so I don't see his case at all. He was discussing illegal activities. He should be banned or infracted as per the rules.

They should mod me. I'd set people straight ^_^

I totally agree with you, there are legitimate uses to the examples but a large percentage of it violates copyright.
Besides, in this particular situation, the rule is vague based on the semantics of RFD's example, "discussion" needs to be elaborated...

don't worry, kanechart is just jealous because he can't play mw2 early. modded xbox 360 is legal if you backup games for personal use and also, you must own the original game or will be owning the original game (preorder).
