Has anyone actually succeeded in "paying" a contractor with giftcards?
Ie, lets say I have a $500 GC from HD. I could ask the contractor if he would accept payment from a GC vs cash/credit (for a job that's approximately worth $500).
It's more of a trade really, but i figure it's almost the same as paying in cash.
Just curious, as I have some GC lying around from stores that I don't usually go to.
The only way that I could even see this happening is if the contractor is a regular HD visitor.
Another method is selling them for face value.
