View Full Version : Login and password wouldnt save

I browse the regular version at home on safari at home and mobile version on my iPhone. Ever since the site technical problems few days back the login and password wouldn't save. I have to re-enter every time I open the page again.

Has this happened to anyone?

this was happening to me yesterday as well, but it seems to be working fine again today.

mobile version is still not working as of now. can't even login to it.

Just tested on my iphone, still the same.

Not saving the login/pw... The Safari on my macbook seems doing ok so far though if that matters.

So probably just the mobile version of RFD...

I dont have that problem since my phone saves my passes but i did notice that it doesnt keep me logged in. Like if u use it and then exit, the next time i boot up the site, i have to press login again, not the biggest deap but before it kept kept me logged in

I'm not sure if any other iphone-safari users are experiencing the same thing.

My login/pw with hotmail, gmail are working perfectly fine as usual...

Just the mobile version of RFD ever since the technical problem...

Mobile RFD is still not saving the username/password on my iPhone either.

I did make one change which will definitely resolve at least some of the issues.

I think the other issue might be something we are working on but currently unresolved.

If you guys could please help me out, if you get logged out again - please tell me:
- What web browser you are using
- Did you close/reopen your browser
- Did you click the "save/remember me" when you logged in
- What time did it happen

I'm having this problem with my BlackBerry Bold's Browser.

It's random though, sometimes only certain threads keep me logged-in.

- Did you close/reopen your browser
- Did you click the "save/remember me" when you logged in
- What time did it happen

1) Using Google Chrome
2) Cleared cookies
3) Closed Chrome
4) Started Chrome
5) Went to www.redflagdeals.com
6) Logged in and selected the Save option
7) Went to the forums section (had to login again)
8) Went to the Hot Deals section to post a comment
9) Saved the comment and noticed I was logged out, so I logged in again
10) The time was about 10AM MST

11) The time is 10:10AM MST and I exited Chrome and started it up again and came straight to this thread and noticed I was logged out
12) I had to login again

13) After making an update to this post at 10:11AM, I went to another section of the forum and was logged out again
14) I had to login at 10:12AM MST

15) I've noticed, every time I come to RFD and goto the forum and click search it asks me to login.

fudge_u, unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce what you outlined (but thank you for being descriptive). Are you still able to reproduce it?

To everyone else - has anyone had these "login not being remembered" issues within the past 24-48 hours?

Everything is back to normal with Chrome. I don't know if you guys did anything, but RFD works properly on my home computer now. I'll try again with my work computer on Thursday.

I did make a change but it was sort of "in the middle of everything" and I wasn't sure if that change solved everyone's issues completely or there may still be another issue going on...

Glad it's working for you now!

Still having to re-login every couple times. I haven't exactly timed it but this time it was within a half hour or so. Using FF v3.0.10 I believe(not quite sure how to check 'sub'-version). I have tried "post#20" as mentioned earlier (clearing cookies, login, close/reopen) but I still eventually get kicked out.
