Just signed up for this for travel starting Monday but haven't used it yet.

$10/month (can be canceled any time).
Unlimited North American access to their network of wifi hotspots.
You can use up to 2 devices per plan (not sure how this is monitored or if it is). You can use a smartphone and a laptop. For the smartphone you sign-in through your browser (e.g. I couldn't sign on through the Boingo iPhone app because it only works for the mobile wi-fi plan).
There is a different ($8) package for smartphones only.

From http://www.boingo.com/
Enjoy UNLIMITED Wi-Fi access throughout the Americas for a low monthly rate of $9.95. Get connected to:
* Airport Wi-Fi in hundreds of airports!
* Hotel Wi-Fi, including participating Marriott®
and Sheraton® locations.
* Starbucks® Wi-Fi
* McDonald’s® Wi-Fi

This service used to be about $30, but at this price it feels like a steal. I'll post an update after my travels (4 airports + a Marriott)

Quite useful actually and not a bad price.

If there was a hot spot right next door. I can say goodbye to my ISP. :lol:

Wow. Would be great to live next door to one of these wifi zones. Then I wouldn't have to deal with crappy Canadian companies like Rogers.

I ended up posting this deal in Hot Deals as well, but thought I should update this thread with my experiences.

Short story is that it worked great in all the airports I used it in (Buffalo, Detroit, Los Angeles and Washington) as well as a couple of Starbucks.

Based on the "Locations" page of their site, they don't have hotspots in Canada.

I would definitely be interested if Boingo included Canada (ie. YYZ).

Be VERY careful with these guys.

I had the misfortune of using their services when I was last in Chicago while waiting for a flight. At that time, there monthly package was more, but they had a pay-as-you-go service, 1 day service, so i purchased that for the day. When I got the charge on the CC a few days later, I saw they had charged me the reoccuring unlimited internet fee. So I called and told them I had signed up for the 1 day only service, and not the monthly reoccuring service. She said their systems had predetermined that i was better suited on the monthly service plan instead of the pay-as-you-go service. WTF. I reminded her that not only was that proper business practices, that I would easily be able to get the entire charge reversed by the CC. So I told her to cancel this service I did not sign up for and reinstate the original charge. I had to go through 3 people there because none of them wanted to cancel the service. Finally, talking to the manager I laid out the two options. I said to her, you will go in and reinstate the original charge of 1 day unlimited internet service and remove this monthly charge and any service associated with it (and make sure it never occurs again), or I will take it up with the credit card company and you will see $0 -- at least if they choose the first option, they would get to bill me for the service I signed up for. She wasn't happy with those options and started explaining that the unlimited monthly service is too good to give up -- despite me telling her I live in Canada and only travel to the USA once a year, so I have no use for a monthly service for something I would use once a year. Only after I threatened to hang up and take it up with the credit card company did they finally correct the charges and cancel the service. Waste of 30 minutes I will never get back.

Buyer beware with this company.

What are you talking about? I don't know how you came to that conclusion because it is completely wrong.

Based on their "Locations" page every Starbucks in Canada is accessible. Every UPS Store is accessible. YYZ is defiinitely accessible.

Do a search on Toronto and there are 434 spots. In Canada there are 1366 hotspots accessible through Boingo.
