Well, I've been patiently awaiting the arrival of the Iphone on Bell for awhile now, checking back for any information and hoping of something good to come of it. (What was I thinking)
Anyway, so I called Bell, seems its been so long since I called customer service, I had actually forgotten how horrible a company Bell is to deal with. I guess they are more interested in corporate accounts, etc, rather than the little guy. What was I thinking, I know.
The 'agent' if you will, I could barely understand him with such a thick accent, I kept having to ask him to repeat things (I have no problem with this but for a business structure, wouldnt you want your agents to be straight to the point to save time? not only that its annoying when you cant understand them at all) Not only that, maybe he was drunk or maybe it was his first day on the job. He sounded very unprofessional. I wanted to complain, but felt kinda bad, plus where would it get me. Very unprofessional, it was almost comical. I thought maybe I had called a wrong number or was being scammed. I then inquired about a txt messaging problem and he told me to call 611 on a land line. Ok, but raul dont I need to call 611 from a cellphone? "oohh, yes, sorry please call 310-Bell instead"
So I asked him about the Iphone, and how I would like some pricing. I have an existing plan and number. I just want to know how much this phone will cost me. Boy what a nightmare. He tells me 599, or I can wait and get a hardware upgrade in 2011. I need a phone now I told him earlier.
I asked him how much to cancel this plan, because I have not ever been happy with the way Bell conducts a business, neither online, in store or on the phone. He told me $540. Isnt the cap $400?!?! I told him it would be cheaper to cancel and go to Rogers because "im not happy with the service"..."I know" he says. :cheesygri
Anyways, like many of us have come to the conclusion of, it would be cheaper for me to pay the $400 contract buyout and go to rogers for a $49 I Phone (refurbed. 6 mon. warranty). Something which im definately considering.
Even if Rogers doesnt want or need my business, at least they pretend they do.
