Canadian film/novel/play with a Canada/US theme?

Been looking for one for my assignment as a source to Canadian integration into US integration. So far, I've only got Canadian Bacon and perhaps Sicko, but I'm looking for more options, perhaps something not by Michael More ;). It doesn't have to be a documentary, anything that touches upon the relationships between the relationships(for better or for worse) of the two neighbouring countries would be good enough. Bonus points for something that won't bore me to death :)

Edit: I know MM isn't Canadian, but there is really little selection, so....yeah....
