No idea, but it starts with

and booking early to get the $1 deal !

And look kid, you're not going to get far without a credit card so as to be able to reserve hotels in advance to take advantage of the rates awarded for booking well in advance.

You can always try going to the bus station and go Greyhound. They'll accept cash there. As to rooming, try looking for hostels around NYC. They would accept cash or debit cards, I imagine.
