Weird. I also had w580 from Rogers year ago. When I tried to unlock it, bo ebay seller and no site was doing it. I literally visted every single place until i found Ming guy in downtown who did it for 20. He did it with firmware patch and he had to load some chinese firmware and half of my phone was chinese because of that firmware. I always thought SE couldnt be unlocked with IMEI code.
