When asking "is it easier" - does that imply that you want to go to university where it's easy and you can just sleep your way through 4 years and graduate with a degree?
I've seen more than a few times in this forum that people want to switch uni that they think will be easy ... but if you only look for easy stuff, what's the point of going to uni and obtaining education? A degree on paper might help you in some ways in the future, but if you dont have mentaility and/or competency to do your job, you'll get into trouble sooner rather than later.
Shouldnt u always aim to make the most of your opportunities? ie. if you are lucky enough to be able to go uni, shouldnt u try to get the best education? Math, you'll probably go to UW ... Business you'll probably go to York Schullich ... I dont get people who aim low in their life

Why would anyone switch from UW Comp Sci to York Comp Sci? lol

I do not know where people get at thinking York is easier then other universities.
Do you have concrete proof with a high enough sample distribution to prove that someone going to UW will have lower marks than someone going to York in the same programs?
I have friends in Schulich who are doing extremely well in Schulich courses, yet are getting cs and bs in York economics.

Does your friend think 80s in York make him smart knowing that he can only be 60s in Waterloo?

Some people want it "easy" :D

Certain programs in some universities are bound to be harder than in other universities, either because of the curriculum itself, or because of the competition within that particular program in that university or both.
I am not saying York overall is easier than other universities, I am just taking as example in terms of Math / CS, UW is bound to be harder than York, vice versa, York schullich would also probably be harder than UW/Laurier.

For one, competition can also drive one to become better. or rather, it SHOULD drive one to become better, of course unless that person is just lazy and want the easy stuff.
Such thing cant never be proven with sampling as everyone will be different, but theoritically it's possible for a person to become better because he/she is in an environment where competition is tougher. That person will be driven to work / study harder to keep up with the competition and hence that person will become better/smarter. On the other hand, if this same person is in an environment where there's no competition, then he/she we'll just be lazy and whatever he/she lazily does is good enough simply because everyone else is no better.
Hence, if someone is doing 60s in an environment where competition is high (eg. CS in UW), and then transfer to another environment where there obviously less demand in terms of competition and doing 80s, it shows that the 2nd environment is easier
