I got a Phone call that I got a Discounted Trip to the Bahamas Today

WPC about a trip to Bahamas today.

I got a phone call today from an American man named "Michael" who informed me I had won a cruise to the Bahamas for 4 days. I had also won 5 days 4 nights in Orlando, 3 days 2nights in Daytona, 4 days 3 nights in Pt Lauder(? cant read what i scribbled while on the phone) and then 4 days in the Bahamas.

I just have to get my flights over to Florida apparently. I was in a rush to go to an appointment and it sounded dodgy, so I took their website address (www.flafunvacation.com)

Gave me a Number that I can call back at #1-800-861-0854
The phone number he rang from was +1-352-505-9610

Area code 352 is a telephone dialing area around Gainesville, Florida. It split from area code 904 in 1995.


Has anyone else encountered this?


This trip is worth $1800, but you get a discounted $669, you have to book right now to hold this discount, and we need your credit card number right now if you would like to lock in this vacation.

They Mentioned silver lakes resorts which I not sure or its sketchy,

the lady on the phone gave out their website so we can register at

www.flavacation.com but to no available it doesn't load up, google doesn't load up either.

It's a scam, you didn't win anything. Lots of these scams originate in Florida. Don't give anyone your CC.

good, I was really wondering, really sounds ify, the way she said what I'd won, sounded so much that the person was reading from the paper.

I wanted to consoult the web page before I'd commit to anything like giving out my credit card to strange company that says that i'd won something.

This is good, I've thought of gave up a good scam deal. haha

I was searching and researching while talking to this person on the phone haha


Their Web site "www.flavacation.com" doesn't work, comes up with forwarding link, I'd searched it on google, that gave me red alarms that this sounded like a scam.

I told the lady on the phone that the website doesn't work, playing dumb, then lady asks me, do you know how to use the internet? I'd really played dumb, told them I feel pretty confident using the internet. Told I was taking so long because my computer is very very slow, but really, not because I have pretty upto date computer haha

I got a call from a 905 number saying that they're with Visa and I won a five day trip to Florida. They told me that I have to confirm my credit card information in order to receive the package that contains the prize. I rejected. The woman told that it wasn't a scam because it's illegal to fraud people, therefore since they called it meant they weren't doing anything illegal:confused:

Anyway, never give out your credit card information over the phone/door. Sometimes they will tell you they have your information, like the lady that called me, she told me my last name and address, which is easily found by doing a reverse look up.
