Regarding Logitech Setpoints upgrade software & my MX 5500 (bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo).
All started when I took apart my PC to dust it out. 2 full cannisters depleted LOL.
Put it back together and nothing would connect. Reset buttons, pair buttons., plug in, unplug...nadda.
It would keep asking for a pin, I'd type it in the keyboard, it would accept, then bounce back and not connect. Did this about FORTY TIMES since yesterday evening. Same with mouse. It would detect the mouse, then launch into this (never before seen) step whereby it would 'install software' for the mouse. Didn't matter if I unplugged and plugged into another usb port. Same crap.
Restarts inbetween steps didn't help. The really annoying thing is that the bt keyboard would work for the signing into windows part, THEN would disconnect WTF??? How's that possible???
I had to resort to remote PC'ing into my desktop to maneuvre things around from my laptop for the past 10hours LOL.
I must've spent seriously 5SOLID HOURS trying to get this working to no avail.
Finally I gave up, Uninstalled and reinstalled 4.8. It worked afterwards...what a PITA. I remember the last time Setpoint upgraded I had the same issues.
/rant.
Thank you Logitech :).
