Costco has a strikingly similar chair as your first link, I'm pretty sure it's cheaper than $180(can't find the price of it on their site)..
I'm still waiting on a killer deal for their Serta office chair.

Me too, as a Christmas present, but it's not looking too good. It was $249.99 about 2 months ago, and I thought that was regular price since Staples never indicates their sale prices, so decided to wait a few days and it shot back up to regular before I could buy it. :|

I think I might get the $180 one, but it lacks adjust ability. Plus I'm worried that I'll buy it and the Serta one will go back on sale just as my 30 day return period ends.

Just bought a very similar chair brand new from XSCargo for $99.99 on Sunday. It's been at $99.99 @ xscargo for a while now and I can confirm it's pretty much the same (or very close in terms of confort) as the staples one (the one on sale for $180) since I've owned that staples one before, and right now I'm sitting on the xscargo one and it feels the same.

There's been a thread on the chair from xscargo going on here but I can't seem to find it.

EDIT: Found it
http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/leather-executive-chair-99-xs-cargo-woodbridge-747460/

Should be nationwide since I'm in Calgary.

The material of the two chair is different. xscargo's is faux leather (aka not leather) while Staple's is leather (in seating area).
and no warranty in xscargo and 2 year warranty in staples.

Most Staples reviews of the first one seem to focus on how the chair smells bad :)

read the whole thread, it's been confirmed it's real leather for the one at xscargo. And I can confirm it's real leather as well.

I can also confirm both chairs from staples and xscargo are very similar as I said before, I've owned both.

Would you say this chair is roomy and well padded? How long have you had it and what shape is it in now?

Anyone else know how it compares to the $180 managers chair?

It's still good. But it has developed a creak whenever I lean back. I've applied lube to the hinges which fixes it for a bit, then it returns.

How about the padding? One review says that after a year the padding has worn down and is hard. How many hours a day do you use it?

Padding still really soft, but then again I only really used it for like 1-2 hours a day.

There's a leather chair on sale at Staples this week for about $100.
I'm thinking of getting it. Looks good.
