Do you know the brand name/model of this toilet? Trying to see if it's eligible for city rebates.
Thanks!
Edit: Nevermind... just saw the info after I posted my question. =)

It is the WaterRidge C22055 model.
eligible for $100 rebate in Peel region.
Thanks OP for posting the deal. but are you sure about the rebate? I checked the Mississauga Website and WR model wasn't qualified for the rebate.

I am looking to buy 3 toilets, any other deals in GTA for good rebate-qualified toilets? Price is important but "performance" and quality is more important as I hate plugged toilets (you know what i meant :-)

It is still in the PDF file (http://www.peelregion.ca/watersmartpeel/indoor/toilets/peel-approved-list-aug-2009.pdf) (page 11, search for waterridge), so not sure now.
Maybe they removed it from the list, but have not updated the PDF file yet.

Was at Costco today and picked up one of these. I live in Toronto, so no rebate for me. Still an okay deal at $119 plus taxes. I was going to buy this for a reno anyway when it was approx. $167.99 not too long ago. Thinking about getting 2 more for the other two washrooms. Too bad I can get the rebate :(
Costco Item # 368 062
Manufacturer: Globe Union / Water Ridge
Model: C22055
This $h!t was selling fast. The Downsview location had 49 at the start of the day, and after I bought one and 2 other guys bought 6, there were only 2 left.
Appears to qualify for only a $75 rebate in Toronto as opposed to $100 in Peel.

I bought this a few months ago at $149. I also applied for the $100 rebate from Peel Region and it came a few weeks ago.
I'm wondering if I can bring my receipt back to Costco for a price adjustment. How long is that price protection valid for, 90 days?

30 days for everything
90 days is for TVs, comp, camera and ipod.
With the original receipt at the membership counter.

I'm a bit confused... is the price at costco right now $119.99? So AFTER the Peel rebate it brings it down to essentially $20 for a new toilet?

Yup.
And if you get the energy audit, you can get 65*2 rebate from the government, so you will be earning about 100 per toilet. :D
Of course you need to do other things together, because the energy audit will cost you around $450.

Is a MAP score of 500 good?
Also - does the mail in rebate require an original receipt? The original would be needed to get the regional rebate....

You don't have to purchase it at one of those retailers on the list...it's only a list to tell you where you could purchase it. You're eligible for the $75 rebate as the toilet is on the list. Confirmed this on the phone.
PS there was a lot of toilets at Markham Costco (Woodbine/Hwy7). Will probably get one tomorrow.

Heh... not exactly what I meant... I'm interested in the measurement in inches (or cm). The "length"...
I wouldn't want the toilet to occupy more space in the room than the current one does.

Just picked up three at the Leslie/Elgin Mills location. Confirmed that this is on the list of qualified toilets for York Region. That means it qualifies for a $75 rebate. If you've done the Energy Audit, it also qualifies for a $65 rebate from the Federal Gov't. But I just heard that it can also qualify for $65 Provincial Rebate too. Does that mean that I would make some money on this beside the water savings?? $75 + $65 + $65 = $205 - 135 = $70 profit?

How does the regional rebate work? How does one actually get the money? I know you have to live in Peel to get the rebate but what's to stop someone from not living there and having a family member who does, getting the rebate but not installing the toilet?

Also, can someone confirm if thru the audit that you must not already have a low flush toilet? For example if you have a fairly new place, the toilets would already be the low budget builder low quality, low flow type, no? So, this purchase would not qualify?

I can confirm that it is at the discretion of the person that you hire to do the energy audit. When he was going through my house, I had to ask him if I qualified for toilet rebates. He told me no because I already had the low flow design.
I complained about how I wanted to replace 1 of mine in particular due to what I feel is a design flaw (Sh!7 always hits the back of the bowl before it hits the water...never makes a clean entry!...pun intended ). He agreed to let me apply for one toilet rebate.

Forgot how heavy toilets are (and this is a one-piece); had a helluva time getting it into my car trunk. Harder getting it out. (It's about 84 pounds in the box, and bulky.)

Can someone verify this if really can qualify eco energy rebate? I remember it needs equal or greater than 3.5gram per flush to qualify.. I checked the toilet in Costco, it is only 1.6gpf.

You are looking at 2 different measurements there...
1.6gpf is the volume of water used...
grams per flush is the MAP rating of the ability to flush solid waste! This toilet appears to have a 500 MAP rating from the links posted earlier.

yes - if anyone can do this it would be appreciated! (even measurements once installed would be useful for me).
My current toilet extends 27" from the wall (on a 12" center)... how far does this toilet end up extending from the wall?

I bought this a few months back, but was still able to get the $30 rebate back so I'm happy. In terms of the toilet itself though, I'm so so. The low volume flush works oaky, but the higher volume (left button) flush doesn't always work properly. It will flush, but sometimes gets stuck continuously refilling the tank. A simple second press of the button will correct it. I don't know why it does that. So if you flush before leaving your house, it could be "refilling" all day. So much for water consumption. That is the reason I have only purchased one and not more.

deal is dead, $30 discount ended Sunday. Price back to $149.99, so $50 still good price with the $100 peel rebate.
