I saw this deal on another site and decided to share it here. This how the deal works:

Trade 2 games and get a $59.99 game for $9.99
Trade 2 games and get a $64.99 game for $14.99
Trade 2 games and get a $69.99 game for $19.99

TIV of the games have to be at least $8. I called the EB near me and the guy said he has not heard of this deal yet but others have said they have seen posters and confirmed other EB's have started to run it.

They always have T3GIF = Trade 3 get it free. I don't think they have this deal going on all the time but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't believe this is a pre-order specific deal, but I may be wrong. This means you could go in and Trade 2 + whatever for Bordlerands, etc.

Ooooooh, I guess this explains the surge of dropping TIV's below $8 if they're going to let you trade 2 games and bump them up to $25 instead of the trade 3's max of $23.33 for a $69.99 game.

EB I was at said that all new releases in November qualified for this promo. Didn't help that of the 4 games I brought, THREE fell under $8 today (360 Riddick, Far Cry 2, FEAR2).

This is actually a surprisingly decent promo from EB. I like it because it allows the customer to pick up some older titles now that the hype has died down and a wealth of reviews are available . . . this is assuming of course, the titles applicable are recent ones and not just new, unreleased November titles. Also is nice for newer games that have dropped below 69.99, such as Forza, Ratchet, UC 2, and Wii games. It's a big relief knowing you only need 2 titles and can burn up some credit for the third, since 9.99-14.99 is actually a decent price point. I'd recommend still doing T3's for the 69.99 titles, unless of course you bring in games you bought specifically for the promo that cost you more than 19.99.

While technically true, most people don't pay more than $10-15 per game to trade in, $20 if they're really desperate. So the trade 3 is still a better value in the long run, but at least the trade 2 gives an option to those who can't find or are too lazy to find a third qualifying game.

The poster i saw read Trade 2 and get a new game for as LOW as 19.99. I talked with the rep at a store with the poster up and he pretty much told me all new games coming out this month can be bought for trade 2 + 19.99.

Anyone try this deal with say LRB? Its 59.99 so it should be T2 + 9.99 if true and just came out so should qualify.

The Rogers Plus T2G1 for MW2 is a bit hotter, jut a matter of having/finding those specific titles and paying the $10 for the Star Rewards thing. So far I only got L4D, need to find one more...

EB put out a flyer this week. In the flyer it highlights the details of the deal. If they are unaware of it, just bring in the flyer and show them. Some stores also have posters up. If you read the fine print of the poster it says:

(Which is what the deal was in the summer with the trade 4) I called a few other stores looking for an HDMI console and the person at Warden/Eglinton told me they had one in stock but it was 99.99.

So I went there and purchased it and then got the year warranty for $10 because it was less than 100.

I compared my two bills and the one that says 129.99 says REFURB XBOX SYS and the 99.99 says PO-XB 360 SYS ALL. IDK what the difference is but the person told me if mine breaks they will find me a new one.

So I guess YMMV

FEAR and GTAIV do no qualify any longer either. EB has dropped their TIVs on a lot of games; I really wouldn't count on very much qualifying for their T3 deals right now.

refurb is technically the same, except it was prbly sent to HO for refurbishing before sending it back to the store for reselling

keep in mind that your "1yr warranty" only applies for a one-time over-the-counter exchange for another console w/i a yr...
you're not covered if another breakdown occurs in the future

I called the ebgames in Eaton Centre and they are not allowing Uncharted 2 and Ratchet and Clank with this promo. They will however let me trade in 3 games to get Ratchet and Clank free.
