Wish I had this coupon last weekend.:( It was really busy in the Niagara Falls Lundy Lane location. Lots of good deals. There were some leather purses for about $100 or less.

I don't like the fact that Coach becomes so cheap and you can see everyone carrying them. I know people around me stop buying Coach just because of that.
Don't understand why people buy at regular price anymroe as there's always a deal at their outlet.

You must be so proud of yourself! btw, the irony of you having an account on RFD is somewhat hypocritical.

My interpretation of their statement is that Coach is becoming very common nowadays. Its everywhere and with a little bit of digging, you dont have to pay full price for something that is becoming very common.

Thanks OP, will be going to Windsor on Saturday to visit my daughter in University and will stop at the Coach store for gifts for her and my g/f. Thanks.
I signed up for emails from Coach but I never get these type of coupons in the email! I only get the newsletter and it does not have any discounts. hmmm!

What I meant was that Coach used to be a higher end brand name (ok, not like LV or something but higher end than what it is now), but their huge and constant discount in outlet sort of made the brand went downhill. I'm not against people using Coach. I myself have a few Coach products. What I meant is their MSRP means nothing now as their outlet constantly offer huge discount. And this 20% off isn't really a hot deal as we've seen something more before.
A few girls I know actually told me that they don't buy Coach anymore as they see everyone else using the same bag.
I'm surprise if no one else here view it the same.

I would have to agree with golden on this. A product is no longer considered luxury, if it's used by a gazillion of people. And oftentimes the only reason a woman buys an expensive and quality product is to feel special and good about herself. With a number of women carrying coach bags, there is no way I would feel special about myself with one

Well, Louis Vuitton is as ubiquitous as Coach (at least here on the West Coast), yet women still clamour to have at least one (and preferably several) LV purse/bag in their arsenal.
Coach probably didn't help their cause by slapping their monogram on everything from shoes to sunglasses. Coach's marketing department should learn from LV (or its parent company for that matter.)
Anyway, I digress. I have a Coach wallet myself and it's fairly decent quality. At the right price, I wouldn't hesitate to buy more of their leather goods.

I read somewhere that they make COACH stuff specifically for the outlet and the COACH stores have their own line that is more "luxurious:. That's why the outlet stuff is so cheap cause they're not as good as the non outlet stuff

I asked about that the last time we were at the Coach store in Windsor. I was told that they do have their own factory line and they get older stock from their regular stores and that is the stuff that is usually reduced on the outside walls. She also explained to me that the factory only merchandise does not have the Coach leather patch sewn inside.
I am only passing on what one of the associates told me at the Windsor Factory store. She did show me the patch though.
Will inquire again on Saturday as it gives me something to do when g/f is browsing! :) I can browse as well! ;)

Can anyone comment on the prices as compared to the outlets in the US? We're debating driving across the border to the other side of Niagara but not sure if it's worth the hassle.

Prices are identical but the selection is better. Really depends on what you are hoping to find. Majority of the bags on the Canadian side are MFF (made for factory) bags. These bags are, in my opinion, lower quality but still very durable. You will find the odd discountinued or damaged bag from the boutiques (regular stores). It's hit or miss.

Mmmm,
I can answer for her...lol:lol:
That is why I do not buy most popular brand name bags.
I have a Rowland leather bag or larger purse that is kinda "mailman style" (with a flap on front anf brass buckle.
The leather is soft and lined in suede.
It was the only 1 made of that style and it has never been on their website.
I bought it at their Ottawa location and sadly they closed that store as they are a very small company and sell through other small shops mainly.
It is a Canadian brand made in Ontario.
I also have some Rudsak bags and purses from when they used to be better made and in Montreal-now mostly made in China.
Another Canadian brand.
But if you want actual "designer" brand I have an Icon bag (sold at holts..amazing leather prints but like $300+)
Inge christopher, a Carlos Falchi bag somewhere...
Also from online only brands Floto Imports a couple travel bags...made in Italy.
If you want some neat bags, the big holiday craft shows always have some people that make leather bags and purses that are really nice and Canadian too!
Most people seem a bit too hung up on brand name stuff thesedays though!

Got one for my GF's bday yesterday in Niagara Falls.
Just FYI... it's 20% off the price AFTER any other discounts they are offering.
I found a bag that was 50% off and assumed it would be 70% off with the coupon. But it's 50% off their price first, then an additional 20% off whatever is left.

I asked the same question at Niagara Falls and they do make stuff for the outlet. One thing I noticed was the inside zippered compartment did not have a leather dogleash pull as my older non-outlet Coach has.
My boyfriend got a leather briefcase in the summer from the outlet during one of these promos. The key fob attachment on the back fell off within a few uses. Took it to regular Coach store, they noticed the bag was hardly used, agreed to send it to repair in Florida, they somehow decided they can't fix it so sent us a credit note.

I was wondering the same thing too since I will be at Sawgrass Mills Mall in Florida for US Thanksgiving. I was at their Coach a few weeks ago and they told me that they have heard their Coach store was a lot better in price and quality in comparison to Niagara's Outlet.

That isn't true. They have tons of non-monogrammed stuff, you just don't notice it since it's not monogrammed ;)

It's true. A lot of the factory stuff is made for the factory and isn't of the same quality as the stuff you find in their boutiques.
I have quite a few items from Coach, and most were bought at the Boutique and never ended up at the outlets. IMO, most of the stuff that ends up at the outlets are only the duds that weren't worth paying full price for at the boutiques.
They do send out 25% coupons for the full price store a few times a year, I believe one is happening in December.
