View Full Version : How to get a visa for Brazil?

I did a little bit of research, and from what I understand, you need to apply online and then print something out and bring it in to some office downtown. But when I tried to access the website, firefox said it was unsecure and basically told me not to enter it. Which website do I use? Thanks

The website seems valid and it just seems like an invalid certificate issue. Send the Brazilian Embassy in Ottawa an email and let them know about it and ask them when it will be fixed.

Even with Internet Explorer it gives you that invalid certificate message but I went ahead with it. Looks legit and I can check the status of my application on that website too.

They received mine last week in the mail and it's still hasnt been processed >:(

I was born and raised in Brazil, and let me tell you something: be prepared for terrible service at the Brazilian consulate in Toronto.

My passport will expire soon and when I called them they laughed and told me their system was down for a while and no one could get anything. Now the website is up and running with the certificate problem. Still works but the consulate loves to lose papers and add delays. I hate to say this (being brazilian myself) but the service on the consulate here is as bad or worse than there, being a 3rd world country.

omg, I hope it's not the same at the Brazilian consulate in Vancouver. I need my visa by Dec and they still have to mail it back to me.
