Yeah, Gamestop in the US and EB-Games in Canada are giving away the beta codes for pre-orders. No clue if you can do it online though. Just go into the store and see if they have codes left, if they do then put down the deposit for a pre-order.

see I love the MMO style I know it's not a MMO well it is sort of but sort of reminds me of planet side. One my fav things ever. Everything about this game scream my type even more since I suck at aiming but always good at strategy and with a bigger map I can get more breath time too.

The worst part is it's not like downloading a regular 2GB game from the store. It's a 2GB download over some weird file server that takes several hours, then fails.

I got my Beta code before - I haven't pre-ordered MAG. But I know EB is supposed to be handing them out now.

there is no major character building other than advancing in rank.

wait for games like natural selection 2 if you want more strategy mixed into your FPS.

oh damn i forgot about bandwidth lol.. i guess half of my 6gb (if thats what rogers is) is gone just on the god of war 3 demo... maybe its not that low for rogers tho

You aren't really missing much though. The beta is fun, but theres huge updates, usually the same game mode for a long time(it changes every few days or so), and there are still a lot of frustrating bugs.

Also, after Nov.7, the beta phase is exclusive to pre-orders from Gamestop/EB Games. So the only way to get into the beta is to preorder.

Have you picked up Borderlands? You should really get Borderlands if you're looking for an RPG/FPS hybrid (and get 3 other friends to get it too!).

I got 4 codes at PAX =P 1 for me and 3 for friends. Sadly all gone.
