Cheapest that I've ever seen for this heatsink.

That's an excellent deal. I have been running mine with my i7 920 @ 3.8 since late February with no problems. Quite and cool...

Wow that's smokin! Just bought this at PC Cyber last week; gonna go back and PM. Although I just tried adding this to my cart and it comes up as $79.99. Is the $49.99 a price error?

ha! I was actually going to post about this. Ordered on sunday from ncix (to use the 3$ shipping code) and pm'ed Compu2000 without issue.

This is a very nice cooler, compares very well with the highest end coolers (ex. thermalright) and is very quiet. Here is a review for anyone who is interested:

This is the first time I've seen this cooler on sale, its always 79.99$ for the 2 fan version, so 49$ is a great deal. Also, the thermal compound that is included is very good quality. Win all around!

that is weird, seems like some sorta bug. you can always price match with ncix. i think i heard compu2000 was basically the mac version of ncix. my pm with ncix went through.

augg...the bad thing about this is, if you want to replace your current cpu fan, you will also have to unmount the motherboard because the fastening mechanism requires you to put something beneath the board :( it's a pain to do that. :( unless you've building a system from scratch.

added to cart shows 79.99 here too

Same here

Ya that's definitely gonna be rough. But it's worth it in the end. I just hope I dont screw anything up with the installation.

That really sucks about the error. If anyone is still interested in a cheaper price, you can snag it at PC Cyber for $67.77:

Definitely not hot, but money saved is money saved!

Same here

That is true. However, either you unmount the motherboard or put undue pressure on the cpu socket. The backplate is meant to relieve some of this pressure. I've seen some similar hsf's that use pushpins, but I definitely wouldn't recommend them.

Excellent price, I paid $59.99 over a year ago plus shipping. Another review which I used when I was deciding on mine:

note this is the version that comes with 2 fans? :) i think the fans sell for 20 bucks alone.
