Does anyone know of any web sites where I can find deals from GVR or Bellingham to Disneyland. I have used smartervegas.com for Las Vegas and was wondering if there is a similar site for Disneyland Hotels, airfare and attractions.

Mousesavers is a general Disney deal site. Keep an eye on Allegiant's site for the cheap deals to LA.

Do yourself a favor and compare Disneyland flights and hotels to Disneyworld flights and hotels.

Hotels around Disneyworld are usually much better and cheaper than hotels around Disneyland. Disneyworld is also way better than Disneyland (Animal Kingdom alone is fantastic imho). I've been to both and I would go back to Disneyworld anytime. Doubt I will ever visit Disneyland again.

Flights to LA are as low as $165 from Sea. Flights to Orlando are as low as $255. Depends on when you are going. Plug a week with flight + hotel to both into Expedia and compare. For some weeks for similar money ($400 to 600 per person based on double occupancy) you can go to Orlando and stay in a better hotel than you'd get for spending the same money visiting Anaheim. If it's a family trip two bedroom condos or even full houses are also really cheap in Orlando.

Thing is, Disneyworld is in the dump that is Orlando. LA/Anaheim is way better than Orlando. But I guess if you only goto disneyland/disneyworld and nowhere outside of those places, it doesnt really matter. I personally like Disneyland a lot more and California Adventure is pretty fun too, but then I do venture outside of Disney.

Also hotels are dirtcheap on priceline around Disneyland. But again, Disneyland wins by default because it's not in Orlando:lol:

You like Disneyland better than Disneyworld? Ok. A few people do but I'd urge the op to do their own research. There's a pretty huge difference.

Your criticism of Orlando is just weird. Many attractions in the area are not in Orlando. I've been to the area 4 times, still haven't run out of things to do and have never been to downtown Orlando or even stayed in a hotel in Orlando (usually stay in Kissimmee/Lake Buena Vista). The nearby Kennedy Space Center is imho one of the greatest places to visit in the entire USA.
Look at Tripadvisors list of things to do in the area. LA and the area around Disneyworld both have more than enough things to do. Plus no smog around Disneyworld. ;)

Cheap hotels around Disneyland? Yeah and even cheaper and better ones for the money around Disneyworld. Check Priceline for both; random week I picked cheapest around Disneyworld, $23. Around Disneyland $43. Very noticeable difference. Between the two cheapest hotels are near Disneyworld and at each price point you are more likely to find a better deal around Disneyworld.
Want to rent a house for your families visit? Look at VRBO and Ebay. Beautiful 3 br+ houses with a screened in outdoor pool, $90-$130 a night around Disneyworld, many many available. Around Disneyland, you'd be lucky to find one at $170.

LA is a great city, I think it's hard not to have a good time visiting LA but if the op is interested in Disney theme parks Disneyworld is a week or more of fun. Disneyland is 2 days and then your done. Neither are terrible but they are different.

The OP specifically asked for Disneyland and you brought up Disneyworld;) I just reinterated why Disneyland > Disneyworld simply because LA/Anaheim is 10x better than Orlando (and surrounding areas)

but i just took a quick look at hotels in Disneyland area in LA is not much different than Disneyworld.

3.5* Orange County (Disneyland) Marriott Anaheim Suites
$50 ... 12/16/09-12/18/09

3.5* Orlando (Lake Buena Vista-Downtown Disney) Embassy Suites LBV
$48 ... 12/8/09-12/16/09

but i know nothing about renting a house in Orlando, but that's not the discussion here.

Disney World (FLA) > Disney Land (CA).

Been to both twice!

heh Tap dance much?

Good price at the Marriott. Good hotel too.
Again I'd invite the op or anyone else to do some research if they are interested.

check for couspons on expedia/travelocity, sometimes on a 3+ night stay you can save $50+

depending how long you're down for, you might consider a southern california city pass, 3 days disneyland, 1 day seaworld, 1 day universal studios, 1 day san diego zoo/wild animal park = 220ish @ costco
