Insurance renewal question

Hi there! My car and home insurance is due on Dec.31 2009 and i want to shop around for other insurance before it expires. When is the time should i be shopping around? November or December? When are they going to automatically renew my insurance. Should i inform them asap. Btw i'm with TD meloche monnex right now. Any inputs are greatly appreciated.

Also in similar situation, our one expires Dec 23. I was wondering if there are any site that will give us a few quotes so we don't have to go on each site and fill out the info?

2 months before the expiry is usually a good time to start shopping for car insurance rates. Speak with several brokers and local agents to make sure you get the best rates coupled with the best service.

start around 60days min prior to renewal date..most companies start taking out your first payment for the renewal 30days prior to the renewal date.
