BB: Halo 3 Legendary Edition, $19.95

Sorry in advance if this is a repost, i know there have been threads about the legendary edition before but haven't seen one in a while.

Was at BB pre ordering COD MW2 and saw the Halo 3 Legendary edition on the shelves for $19.95 (there were quite a few at Saint Bruno today, and ive seen some inside the cages in the front at Greenfield Park).

On a similar note, I went to EB on the way home from BB and the TIV for Halo 3 is $16.xx, so for ~5 bucks you can get the helmet and some special feature DVD (i already had the regular edition of Halo 3 so this was a nice "collectible" for me ;)).

hmmm, the one i got was definitely french, and there was only one copy of the game inside (none outside) that traded for 16.xx at EB... that being said there is no bar code on the game itself so the EB rep. must have entered halo 3 manually

Going to see if I can get one of these then put the helmet on my cat or dog and see what they do. $19.99 for the game alone is worth it let alone the big ugly helmet.

yeah, helmet isnt quite the right word for it, it just goes over this stand in which you can put in a couple DVD boxes, its like a small rectangular space under the helmet

I saw this at the BB in Pointe Claire as well. it was on the first week of the T4G2, and by the time I remembered about it, I figured they'd all be sold out and didn't post.. then went back last week, and they still had 3-4...

Guess they are just not available online then.

Don't mind paying that $19.99 for just the helmet if I can find it. I am just a sucker for those stuffs. :razz:

Ok. I guess I'm just hallucinating when I see my very own disc. Just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean everyone had the same experience. The game was badly packaged. The disc did not stay in the spindle for many people and we had minor to major scratches on them. Thankfully mine were minor and played fine.

I totally agree with Firestorm. I bought a brand new still inside original packaging Halo3 Limited Edition (one without the helmet, the one in the metal casing), and it was horribly packaged! I could hear the disc move about, but I didn't know, I thought it was a figurine or booklet.

When I opened it up, I had to remove first the official Microsoft "Do Not Sell Item before _____" seal, plus the other regular game seal. So no, it wasn't opened at all before. Anyways, the game disc was very badly scratched. :evil:

They definitely do not have this at my local BB , But I want one :( where can I find one in Montreal .
-EDIT- Called local BB supplied them with the SKU OP provided they found it (Only french though) but hey 20$ for that big box is worth it IMO

And I tought I made a good deal when I bought 2 at $49.99 at Amazon 2 years ago :) I just sold the French game alone so I have one extra helmet, which is great

It's the least limited "limited edition" ever :) I think the stand alone game is actually the real limited edition :)

Yes I have no use for the helmet I kept it in its box I doubt I want that on my shelf, I will be only using the game and interesting commentary discs on how the game was made.

glad i didn't buy this on launch.

I got the regular version on Boxing day last year for $19.99. I still haven't played the game yet, my backlog of games are getting pretty big.

atleast with the MW2 Prestige Edition it will indeed be a rare item and won't be seen on shelves 2 years later...hell i don't even think it will be seen on shelves after the day of release.
