Any recommended places in Scarborough/Markham that are ok in price to store a car?
probably for a couple of months time.
found a place called Auto Vault online..seemed really good..but the price is really high. $299/month!...

$300 for the year, (but could be a scam - pay up front)

About storing - a little off topic, but I just bought a second car and kept my first as a backup, for the wife, etc.
Right now she doesn't drive - the car just sits there, but just after a week of sitting there, my mom used it one day, and the back wheel was siezed, she had to really hit the gas to get the car to reverse out, and it made a loud noise from the back passenger wheel, I saw it jerk hard.
Within one week can something sieze up? Should I leave the handbrake down when parking it for long?
Any ideas?

May I ask, is this an Auto or Manual transmission?
Becoz normally, parking it for an extended period of time, you shouldn't use the E-brake. But for a manual car, you should, unless you put the car in first when you parked it.

its a 05 Cavalier - Auto
But it was only sitting on the driveway for 1 week, then that day my mom reversed out and you could tell something was stuck, I assume because the hand brake was on, is it better to leave the hand brake down while sitting there for long periods of time?

its better to do no use hand brake at all, unless you parked at hill. it will extend hand brake life.
but... it good idea to apply and release brakes once per week/month.

Something similar happened to me, though did not have the emergency brake engaged. It just ended being rust n stuff. There are people that post on Craigslist the use of their garage. From what I remember, there places definitely below $80/month.

I think Auto Vault targets more exotic cars with their enhanced security hence their high prices.
I think you best off just posting on Craigslist looking for a spot to rent in a garage or condo.
