Just booked flights, plan on going to whistler for ~10 days over newyears.

Right now I'm leaning towards the 5 day EDGE pass, as I understand it it can be used any 5 days right, doesn't have to be 5 in a row?

Anyone have any better combination, coupon codes, etc for cheap lifttickets at Whistler/Blackcomb?

I'm so excited :D:D

Did you book your stay in Whistler through their reservation? If so, I believe they can give you a discount on the EDGE passes.

btw, not to be a downer but there is an El Nino this year and people have been predicting a mild winter. Last time I went to Whistler, it rained. I hope it's not as bad this time around. We're going in December.

My friend lives out there, so the only thing I booked was flights. No accommodations needed. As for winter, all I can do is cross my fingers. My friend who loves there said they already got some snow in the valley (End of October!) so he's pretty excited. He said the mountain will probably open in a month, and we're going in two... So hopefully it's full swing by then :cheesygri

EDGE cards are already discounted so there is no further discount for most. The only way to get a discount is from a Whistler Blackcomb employee to get a further 10% family and friends discount - but I think that's only on the 1 day edge card.

You can sometimes find discount passes on craigslist, but that's random and sometimes they have blackout dates.

If you have a season pass from another Intrawest resort, you are eligible for a $10-$25 discount off lift passes at WB. It used to be a 25-50% discount. The Edge card is still better than this discount.

If you come more than once per season, the EDGE card usually has a spring deal where from April 1st until the end of the season is $89 - as long as you buy a 5-day edge card for the following season at the same time. BTW, the 5-day EDGE card comes with an extra early season day (until Dec 25).
