I currently do it in 62 minutes. I'm pushing my lungs and legs close to the max all the way up. I can't really run because I get shin splints so this a great way to get in shape. I'm a bit surprised how faster other people are. I've only done it 4 times in past month or so though. I've done the Lions twice in one day so I thought I'd be beating people up pretty easy.
If I lived in Vancouver, I'd do it all the time too! I have lots of family there though, so I do it each time I go there. I practice stairclimbing here in T.O. to train for the CN tower climb, so I managed to do the GG in 38:55. That's a far cry off the GG record still.

From the very beginning, I never ran. I slogged it out at a strong pace, and like most fast runners, the key is to have a quick turnover...meaning, you want your feet to spend as little time on the ground as possible. I.e. faster stepping! It's easier said than done, cause you're also breathing very heavily and my heartrate is at its highest when climbing.

P.S. My Uncle who lives in West Van, once did the GG 4 times in one day! And that was back in the day when you were also allowed to go down!

Yeah, I thought it sounded like some sort of trick question! Obvious answer - 45 minutes. :lol:
