Does anyone here use Persil laundry detergent? This stuff seems to be pretty expensive but is it worth it? Anyone know of any places to get this for a reasonable price? Miele stores carry these but they charge about $42 for a 45 load package.

I guess the question is, with regular "cheap" detergents your clothes are coming out .... still dirty?

Isn't Persil some kind of UK import? Why would you need to use imported laundry detergent? But that is probably why it's expensive.

It's probably not a bad choice if you live in Germany, but a waste of money if you're simply using a German washing machine in Canada :)

woof, I'm looking for a detergent that'll be gentle on my clothes as well as cleaning them well which was why I was seeking opinions on this detergent and trying to determine if it's worth the price premium. I'll gladly buy the "cheap" detergents if there's not much difference, this is why we're on RFD after all :)

mbg, ha ha, yeah. I just bought a Miele (German) washer and they import these laundry detergent into Canada and sell/recommends them in their stores. This was why I was curious about them. Good observation about the importing probably adding to the cost though.

Frankly it looks like the German equivalent of Tide. Might be difficult to find someone who has even used it since it's only sold through Miele stores and marketed as a luxury item to justify the high price here.

Also available on eBay strangely enough.
