I would assume this is the mission in question(don't watch if you don't want it spoiled)

sorry but your thread title is a bit misleading (well for me).
when you said hardcore, I thought you meant too hard, but by hardcore you meant inappropriate.
Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Of course, it won't bother me because its just a game. Shouldn't restrict people from playing if they find one scene inappropriate or they are unable to watch it due to their views or prior eerie experiences.

It will be interesting to see why they thought that was necessary for the story.
Also, the graphics look horrible. I hope that's an early build. There are no textures on anything.

Brutal. I really was hoping that MW2 would be a step up from previous entries in the Call of Duty series. I must be getting spoiled by the PS3 exclusives, because Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 look way better than this.

you will never get it.
It shouldn't be too different COD4 or COD5 graphically.
This is what happens when you have multiplatform games. You are getting spoiled by PS3 exclusives and probably 360 exclusives but Uncharted 2 does blow everything else out of the water.

Even though KZ2 is nausea prone, it does colour saturation very well. MW seems very dull and bland. The mission in question is pretty in your face but it does tie in well with the story (so far). I wish Infinity Ward would incorporate a better cover/fire system. I'm starting to hate games where you're shot and all you need to do is hide to rejuvenate. They could slow down the pace a little and still retain the MW experience. Story is top notch but gameplay is kind of same old, same old.

I just watched the clip.
First off, I can't see how this particular clip will spoil the game. I see no potential spoilers here. Feel free to watch it, guys who are interested.
Also, I see nothing too hardcore about this mission. Have I been watching too many 18+ rated movies? The only difference is that usually you shoot soldiers of the opposite side, and not civilians. But these types of scenes happen in movies all the time.
What is this game rated as? I can see them doing this if they wanted the game to be rated T but also provide some A material.

It's contextual sensitive like planes flying into buildings. Like I said, the storyline is top notch but gameplay is still very lackluster.
Love how the voice of Shephard sounds like Lance Henriskon (Hard Target, Aliens, Predator vs Aliens).

i think this is a more participatory experience than a movie.
Shock value alone is used to sell more copies.
COD stories are never good... comparable to ****** action movies.

And another month for the PC version. :(
Well, if you prefer the illegal route, the X360 retail is out on newsgroups and torrents as of a couple of days ago. My gf's brother was playing it earlier tonight.
Regarding the scene, I've seen it played out in dozens of action movies. Total Recall comes to mind... think most of us are desensitized but parents of children will think otherwise.
